quality was good, well made. doesn't feel cheap, but I didn't like the height adjustment. It doesn't allow incremental height adjustment. Either you have to cut the extension tubes, or you have to either use it or not use it, which is about 2 feet of height difference. You can't adjust it say 1/2 feet.
I bought this for my 3 year old, because she needs some coordination practice. She's extremely verbal but not terribly physical, so I thought she could use some sporty toys to encourage her. Anyway, our house is small, and I selected this hoop to take up less floor space. It works and is easy to assemble. My daughter plays with it, but mainly to drop stuffed animals through. The problem with using it as a real hoop is that there is no anchor holding it to the door. It swings side to side like a pendelum. If you have a real budding athlete in your house, put this on a door you don't care about, because it's going to take a beating. The bouncing on the door is also very loud. It seems like some suction cups or other device to hold the backboard down would have been a good idea to include with this toy.
