Customer Reviews
I just want to say that we got this for our 1.5 YO son and he loves it. You cannot get him out of it. His almost 4 year old sister loves it as well and they often use it as the centerpiece of their playtime.
I am sure it will last a good long time.
Now on to assembly.
I can see why some people are having troubles and others are wondering what they are talking about. The first one of these we purchased would just not go together. I am a very mechanically inclined person. I have restored cars as a hobby built my own deck and have more tools then Home Depot and Lowes combined. Not handy Manny himself could have got the the first one together. I was not going to get out the files and blades to start shaving plastic. After returning it and checking over the second one at the store The difference in the plastic molding of the root holes in front and rear or the two was night and day. I struggled with the first one for an hour and did not ever get it together. The second one took me less than 20 minutes.
If you get one that will just not go together take it back and get another. A stock guy at the store(no didn't buy from Amazon :-() said he had put together over a hundred cozy coupes and said about one in 20 just will not go together.
We ran into the exact same thing with my neighbor's daughters Cozy Coupe.
We purchased this toy for our son's first birthday present. Seeing his face was worth the struggle to put it together. He loves the truck and has no idea that he almost didn't get the truck because we thought about returning it. Of all the plasstic toys we've had to put together, this was the worst. We had the hardest time with the rear roof supports. But once it was together we got excited about it. And as I said, our son loves it. And he'll be able to use it for the next few years because as he gets bigger we can remove the floor board for him to peddle the truck himself. Not sure if any amazon people read these but when I bought the truck it was supposed to be a qualifying Amazon Mom purchase but after I bought it, it wasn't. The amazon mom rewards were the ONLY reason I bought this through amazon instead of Toys R Us. But anyway, if you're looking for a good "big" gift for your little one that they won't grow out of in 6 months, this is a good one - once it's together.
