Customer Reviews
I think the seating position does not allow shorted kids to comfortably use it. Would be possibly fun for ages around 4 yrs.
My 2 1/2-year old was so excited when he received this tricycle. Assembly wasn't too difficult ; was complete in less than 10 minutes. My son is tall for his age, so he can reach the pedals just fine when the seat is on the highest setting. However, he is so used to using his feet/legs to push himself on these types of toys, that he doesn't yet understand the concept of the pedals ; doesn't want to be shown. I'm sure that will come with time. For now, he's enjoying it just the way that he wants to, and that is fine by us. The only down-side (that doesn't change my rating) is that his feet sometimes bump into the back wheels while he pushes himself. This of course will be remedied once he figures out the pedals.
Like the other reviewers, I'd say this trike would probably be more appropriate for a 3- or 4-year old. It is sturdy and well weighted, but might be a little too big for the lower end of the recommended age of range 2-5 years. The adjustable feature of the seat will be handy over time, and the price is great when compared to similar products.
