My 9 month old loves this January 28, 2010
By Akaijen
Durability: Educational: Fun:
My 9 month old LOVES this toy. It's ugly, molded plastic, but it's the simplest xylophone-style piano I've seen. What it lacks in style, it makes up for in not being shaped like an alligator or not having googly eyes.My daughter loves musical instruments, but she's way too young for an actual xylophone. The sound of this piano is surprisingly nice (not annoying like most battery-powered toys), and it seems pretty sturdy. We haven't had any problems with it being tippy or hitting my daughter in the face. It's light enough that she can pick it up, and potentially drop it on herself without it causing any injury. She also likes sticking her fingers in the screw holes on the bottom. :-/I can't say that it really has any educational value except to reinforce an interest in musical sounds. There are only four notes; you can't even play "Mary Had a Little Lamb." We play rhythm games instead.

Inspires Imaginative Play ; Musical Curiosity January 20, 2010
By Hollie
Durability: Educational: Fun:
We love this toy! My baby loves tapping on the keys while he listens to his daddy play guitar! I love how simple the design is, it allows children to use their imagination and explore the beautiful world of music without all of the overwhelming distractions that some toys have. We love including babies other musical toys, bongo drum and maracas, for a fun play-time session that leaves him full of smiles and giggles. This toy is meant is for children who can sit up on their own, not for tiny infants. That might be what has caused some disapproval by other consumers? We have NEVER experienced any problems with this toy? It is one actually one of our favorites. I would highly recommend it to other parents that want to inspire creativity with their lil ones!

Best for babies to play with while sitting up... September 29, 2009
By Erin Blaylock
Durability: Educational: Fun:
This toy has a nice sound, but the bottom does not sit solidly on the ground, so if the baby is laying on their belly to play with it, pressing on the keys too hard will make the whole toy flip forward and bonk them in the face.Best to use while sitting up.

great toy for my 7 month old
The only thing I'd like would be more notes for different sounds. Other than that, it's great. My little one loves it.

Fun toy, but extremely out of tune (thus, really annoying)
Can't the keys be designed to strike a harmonious chord? It's really out of tune and it bothers me a lot. I know it's only a toy, but still...it's not that hard.
